Anybody know any good cheap places to mount tires?

Hey Guys,

Did some searching on the forums. A lot of threads date almost a year back, not too sure if some of the reviews or information remains valid.

Anybody know any shops that would take off my old tires and mount new tires for cheap? Hopefully somewhere around SF to millbrae area. SJ might be a tad bit far for me to make it to shops in time.

I read around that Walmart is cheap but the closest walmart we have is across the bridge.

$10-20 per tire is ideal. If they balance and recycle the old tire that would be uber moar awesome.

If you pay peanuts you get monkeys working on your car/wheels

I drive an hour/50 miles to go see Orlando at Auto Innovations in Milpitas.

He knows his Subarus very well and does nothing but quality work.

I also here Roger Krauss is a good shop

I went over to Mach III on ocean ave a few months back to get my old tires off and mount new tires/balance for $88 i believe. They did an amazing job imo.

Auto Innovations is probably still my favorite shop for any type of suspension work. If I still lived in SJ, I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I'm almost 100% positive I'm not going to America Tires. I don't think ~$20 is unreasonable to mount a tire.

Agundis in South City. Or The Shop in San Bruno. I've never had problems with either. Been going to both for years.

Love being active duty military! I do my own at the hobby shop on base (they have all the tools and equipment real shops do) and it only costs me $2 a tire

Les Schwab does that for me @ $12/tire if I bring them in loose (off the car). $20 a tire isn't bad if they have to bring the car in the shop.

I know some shops that charge $45-75 a tire, and customers pay it!

If you're gonna be down here I've found that Calderon Tires or Vex mount for pretty cheap.

Yep, I'll be taking the wheel (off the car) to the shop so thats why ~$20 should sound reasonable. Erick found me a place near San Mateo and they are doing it between 15-18 per tire with balancing and recycling.

My buddy is looking to get this done, and The Shop in San Bruno does it for under $20 a tire. I've had some work done there, and they're some pretty damn cool guys.

I thought The Shop closed down? If I am thinking of the right place they screwed up my alignment.

When I ordered tires from TireRack last time, I had them sent to J & K in Daly City. Cost ~$65 for mount and balance of all 4 tires. I have stock rims that are scratched to hell, so I don't know if they added any new ones.
