In the narrow scope, yeah. BUT.

The company is one of the few healthy/growing ones in this economy, and getting access to a bunch of $$ from the govt. So if its small company with good product emerging in rough times, imagine what it'll do in a few years. By then I'd be ready to take on a management role, possibly in a new location they would have closer to home, or I'd be able to sell my house and move closer to work.

Small sacrifice now (driving) for a bigger reward in the future. Anyone else have such a scenario?

At least you have an interview. I haven't had one in months!!! I wouldn't mind having to drive a little ways for a commute every day, especially if I could get a decent job. But hey, if you can, sacrifice now, reap later...

Funny thing happened on the way around today. My buddy that is home from his Army deployment has a new GF, she used to work at the company. Apparently she's on good terms with the CEO and my potential future boss, & will put in the good word for me!

I know, right! BART to the southbay would be peachy, but instead we get a high speed rail to L.A.....sometime in the next 20 years and $50 Billion later.
