It supports the important stuff like layers/channels most standard transforms, brushes, etc...
It also has a remarkably similar interface to PS.

Maybe I'll give that a second look, I didn't see one spot to download the installer for NT, and I'm a little bit put off by trying to figure out which .dll files and stuff I need to pick from, but I'll try to read through it again.....

OK so that wasn't so bad afterall, although I needed to run it and close and resart a time or two to get all the registry stuff to settle down.
Gimp might just do most of what I need, I'll have to play with it a while and see, thanks for the link guys!.
