Anybody got the skills to fab up a lower grill?

Grillcraft doesn't fit because I have to much of my bumper cut away for fmic. Really trying to get a legitimate grill down there to cover fmic/hide ugly bumper cut. I've tried for a few months and failed. Anybody no someone who has skill at this type of thing?

Yeah anything similar to a grillcraft or prodrive. ive tried grillcraft doesn't fit due to bumper cut...............spent a lot of time with home depot specials and i'm near giving up. May give it one more try and just take the bumper off. But ya. Really any tips of where to get better quality material expanded metal or mesh. But if anyone is good at fabbing something like this up or has ideally done it before on the suby that'd be awesome. I wouldn't expect someone to do it for free obviously. Been trying to get something on there for a year could use some help.

trying to make just for the lower on 06 sti.

i dont know where youre located...but Alan Steel opposite 101 from Carlsen Subaru will have multiple meshes.

So you want some mesh cut to fit your bumper, and bent up so it has some angles in it aka not just flat?

I could make that grillcraft mesh stuff...only hard part would be fastening it to your bumper

How do they sell their mesh? By the square foot? I'm actually interested in picking some up for a project.

Yeah Im not sure how to attach it. Basically my bumper has a wicked horrible cut due to d bag before me. I'm willing to epoxy to the inside thats what id planned. Just having a helluv a time with the bumper not off. Not sure if its easier just to cut it shaped or not since i haven't got a decent one fastened yet.

I would just make a template, then place it over the sheet, then add an extra inch all the way around...then make a rounded wedge and roll the edges over it all the way around.

they may have small scrap there...but if you want selection then its all in 4x8 sheets and you might be better off having them cut a few pieces of it...But they have everything there, worth checking out...i built my Sparco base using some cool L shaped aluminum from there.

It's so simple, cut the right size, make tabs on the inside of your bumper out of the excess mesh with some epoxy, put the screen in, bend the tabs, and you are done...

If you can't do it.. Call me, and I will do it for you!

Sounds simple but I can't figure out the tabs. I've had a helluv a time trying to get what I had attached before. Think its best to take the bumper off. Maybe you can describe how to make tabs a little more.
