Anybody affected by DTV transition?
Anybody have any problems with the digital tv signal transition? I just got my Digital Transport Adapter from Comcast yesterday and have no local channels anymore. I'm still on basic cable but was told by Comcast that I need the DTA device to view higher number channels 30-80 (like msnbc, cnn, etc). So I got it activated, have most of my cable channels, but no local channels. Boo

turn it off and turn it on again.
if not call comcast's 800 # and have them resend the programming signals to the DTA device you picked up. i had that problem already on one of the 2 DTA devices i got from comcast. one of them got programmed easily and painlessly.. and the 2nd device i was on the phone w/ their support lines for about 15-20 minutes while they remotely programmed it.

Was on the phone with them just 20 min ago. They said they'll send a signal and tell them if anything happens. Nothing happens. So they tell me to get a new DTA device on Monday lol

switched from Comcast to Astound ( flame if you want, they are tons better ). I have the HD packge, getting most of the channels. One of my TV's upstairs isnt HD ready, so its on a standard digital cable box. It doesnt get 2,4,5, or 7. But I thought it might have been just localized.

comcast isnt the same thing as the national DTV transition.
remember, this national transition was supposed to happen early this year, feb. but nobama felt people didnt have the time or hardware to do so...
noobs...
