i've never been to costco in the WRX

I have a habit of filling up @ 76 all the time from advice given by multiple tuners.

Why do tuners specifically recommend 76?

Supposedly, a reputation for the most consistent (in quality) around. BTW, Valero is part of the Ultramar/Diamond Shamrock/Beacon family of fuel retailers.

Oh, and I don't use Valero ON any of my vehicles. I think it would do bad things to the paint. We use Mobil or 76.

I stick to Chevron or 76. Usually 76 though. But I heard they add alot more additives in their gas during the winter time. Which might be true, because lately my cars feel smoother with Chevron than 76.

Ive been brainwashed by the forums, 76 for me

I remember reading that data logs were better with 76 than other 91 octane brands

I filled up at Vallero the other day. It was the first time in a long time. I normally fill at 76. It maybe my psyce but the first thing I though when I stepped on it was this tank sucks!!! It just doesn't feel the same. It almost feels like I'm driving with the e-brake on. I can't wait til it's gone

In pomona, Chevron is the closest to the campus @ 2.50/gal supreme, while 76 which is about another 1.5-2 miles away, is usually atleast 7 cents cheaper
