Any shops anodize wheels in the bay area?
My black anodized wheels have some issues and im looking to have their finish redone. I was hoping to find a local place to avoid shipping them out to the manufacturer. Any recommendations?

alot of commercial places aswell in the bay area well san jose/santa clara area that can do them. Here are a few i know of that the shop i worked for used. I use to get some good deals aswell for my personal car parts the trick is to have a color that is getting done and they will toss it in at a lower cost as it works in bulk for them.I also know powder paint aswell if needed
I have used Valley many times the owner Fred is awesome and does alot of car parts

Ive been reading up on reviews of wheel techniques lately. Alot of mixed reviews, im not sure I trust bringing my 3k+ set of wheels over there now honestly. Have you guys used them for refinishing before?
I might stop off at Valley Plating today to chat with them a minute. Rite way looks nice also, but its further out for me, but i will keep them in mind. Thanks

Im in Pacifica and work in Foster City. Just looking to restore them to their original matte black anodized finish. They have some acid stains on them from a cleaner so they need to be stripped and redone.
Check out applied anodize or Santa Clara plating. They both do good work on hard black.
If in doubt, FLAT OUT

Wheel Techniques is just a middle man and are right up the street from those finishing places who are probably the places they are going to send them anyway.... So or what you're looking for just go to one those shops. I've used Valley before for work as well. In that same neighborhood, there are probably 7-10 different finishing shops and 20-30 machine shops. I work right on the other side of the freeway from there and drive through there every morning on my way to work. Black anodizing is super common too, so pretty much all shops can do that and handle large parts.
Hard anodizing is great, but it is more expensive.

i honestly wouldnt recommend anodizing for wheels. Brake dust gets pretty aggressive on it and starts to fade pretty bad, everyone I know with vettes that ran them on the track had the black turn to purple, is that the issue you are having with yours? You should prob just send them out to get painted

Might not be open tomorrow.
