Any one have a hook up on video cards?
hey guys anyone work at frys electronics or micro center or any type of computer store that gets video cards? need to upgrade my computer cause the video cards are starting to make a bunch of noise and its pretty old! let me know i need to pick up a new one or maybe even 2 to run sli/cross fire
if the video cards are making noise that sounds mechanical in nature, check the fans. they just might need a bit of cleaning.
my graphic designer @ work just had one of his nvidia 8600 gts SLI cards go out, no fun. i feel like driving down the street and throwing the card through their glass front door.

i want something that is decent and under 250. i already have a 700 watt ocz power supply and i plan on using it to play games but nothing super crazy like crysis.
Although really you should wait for the 6000 series to be released in the coming weeks before you pull the trigger. If nothing else it'll drive the price of the current gen down.

shoot i meant the xfx 4890 hd 1028mb forsure. figured running 2 of these will be better then 1 4870x2 video card which is alot right now. the 4890 hd crossfire setup bench marks at 15,100 and the 4870x2 benchmarks at 17,100. the 5770 cost a bit more then what i want to spend on 2 video cards right now. but hopefully the deal goes through tomorrow. this will be the video card that i am going to pick up. does it sound like a good deal? http://cgi.ebay.com/2x-XFX-ATI-Radeo...item19c04b0291

"One works perfectly fine while the other has a problem with the heatsink fan causing it to run louder than it should."
That screams like a scam to me. Just wait till friday. That's when the 6000 series cards get released.
