Any Fremont-local shops that can do a brake pad instal TODAY?

I need my wife's brake pads to be replaced, and I've done it many times on my own, but that's when I had tools, now... Not so much. Plus I don't feel like dealing with it right now because Im busy as hell today, I just wanna drop it off somewhere.

I already got the pads, all I need in the pad installation.

I left a message at GST but it's still too early. If they can't do it, I wanna get a backup shop to do it (GST is the closest to my house)

Again, this is really important because she needs to get to work and I need to go to school, so that means I have to drive her 1 hour to her work, turn around and drive another hour back to my house, and from there go 30mins in the opposite direction for school, plus by then I have lost more then an hour of lecture!

Hell, maybe there's an unemployed member that has some tools and wants to make an extra buck. It takes less then an hour, so I figure $25 plus some beer? I think that's ok, right?

Regardless, it has to happen TODAY!

I'd do this for you, but with a regular job to get in the way it isn't gonna happen. Sorry, dawg. Dogg. Snoop-a-loop.

I'm fairly certain he can't afford that. Please see mention of $25 above.

I know Speed Element is in Fremont. Black Trax is in north Milpitas.

Do you trust your wife enough to let her drive your car and you drive the car w/ little brakes to no brakes?

$25 plus beer to replace pads. I know its not a hard think to do but you will be paying a shop more then that. I would say you would get a better response from other members to do this if you offered them better compensation. Say something along the lines of what a shop would charge you.

I don't think SE is doing installations at the moment.

You don't have a cresent wrench and a few sockets? I would say set aside one hour and do it yourself.
