Has anyone on here delt with E-Tech Powder Coating, Inc. in Walnut Creek? (E-Tech Powder Coating | Powder Coating Excellence - Powder Coating in San Francisco, Bay Area, East Bay, Walnut Creek, in Northern California)
I need my BBS rims stripped/powder coated and thus this appears to be my closest best option. It has positive Yelp review and they sound legit on the phone. I have not had time to stop by their shop yet, but in the mean time wanted to see if anyone has any knowledge about this shop (they claim to be in business over 30 years).
I am also open to any other powder coating options in the Walnut Creek/Concord areas.

Rite-Way is in Walnut Creek. They do powder coating, as well as wheel repair. I've never gotten work done by them personally (but I did go into the shop to get a quote, seemed to know their stuff) but I've heard great things and they have great reviews on Yelp.

Just picked up my rims yesterday. Here are my thoughts.
Pros:
The quality of the work seems top notch, although time will tell how well the finish holds up.
They work with Big O Tires next door if you need to have tires removed for powder coat and reinstalled after work is finished. Super convenient!
They are patient and helpful. I took a while looking through different color samples before making a choice.
Positive reviews on yelp.
Had rims ready on the quoted completion date.
If I could do it over, i'd go with them again in a heartbeat (and plan too).
Cons
Don't keep a lot of colors in stock, only the common/popular ones, although they can get pretty much any color under the sun.
They also do collision, and there is only one person working the counter, so be prepared to wait for assistance.
Paid $90/rim. Pretty sure I could have found cheaper, but would rather have it done right the first time.
Turn around was 2 weeks. I guess they were backed up with more work than usual, but they did tell me this up front at least.
Pics. Color is called beluga blue.

Unfortunately, that is more than an hours drive for me one way. I am looking for a more local place, but there are plenty of South Bay folks that I am sure will find this helpful.

Rite Way does great wheel repair but I believe they do not do powder coating. They paint and polish there only. They work with somebody else when it comes to powdercoating.

The person I spoke with sounded very knowledgeable, professional and answered all my questions...but I got impression they deal with more higher end customers as he was using 911s, AMG MBs, and M-Series bimmers as examples of recent colors they have done while discussing custom choices.
This is my first time repairing and powder coating wheels, so I don't have a solid expectation basis...but I was a little
at the final price tag. I just can't justify spending that much on a daily driven wheel set
Interesting. They said they do powder coating, but I didn't get into the details if it is inhouse or outsourced...
