Any Body got a lens I can borrow? (Zoom)

Hi,

I'm shooting Formula Drift this weekend in Long Beach for Stance Nation, the problem is I need to rent/borrow a 70-200 F2.8L lens because all I have is 24-105 which isn't zoomed in enough. If anyone has one I can borrow or rent, or maybe even a hookup with borrowlenses.com or anything. Funds are kinda short cus im only 19 and spending most of the money on the trip alone but im willing to work with you. I'd be willing to trade objects of equal value or sign a contract taking full responsibility of the lens, anything basically.

Thanks Brendan, (408) 722-6569

Stance Nation is paying you to go there and paying your expenses to get there right?

I'm in Seattle right now and rented a nice lens from Rent professional cameras or camera lenses for Canon, Nikon, Sony, Olympus, Leica and Pentax

Highly recommend their service, not SUPER cheap but you can rent a lens that will kick *** and not have to pay out of the *** for it.

No offense dude, but this seems mad fishy. How on earth are you shooting "for Stance Nation" when you don't have appropriate equipment?! I'd be very hesitant to loan out a $2400 lens to a young dude that says "funds are kinda short" - regardless of a "contract taking full responsibility". That contract doesn't mean crap when you yourself say you can barely afford to get yourself to the event.

Maybe ask your parents for help? I can only assume since you're 19 that they helped you buy your 2011 WRX... harsh toke bro!

If you are a professional and shooting on a Canon they have a lend program. You pick the lens you want and they ship it out. They tell you when to have it back to them. You pay to ship it back so the sooner you ship it out the better.

My dad borrowed an 800mm monster and had to overnight it. Was over $400 in shipping.

Or you can rent a lens.

Say hello to my boy Julian.

don't you have to be with CPS and probably be pretty high up on their list before they do that for you?

For CPS loaners you have to have a gold or platinum membership and platinum memberships get priority over gold. Doesn't mean gold members won't get what they want to borrow though.

It's $100/year for gold and $500/year for platinum, each come with a bunch of the same perks, platinum just gets you more of those perks. For instance, gold members get 2 or 3 free cleanings, platinum members get 5-6. You also have to have equipment that's on their eligibility list. Each camera body, lens, flash or video camera scores individual points. 20pts are needed for gold, and 50pts for platinum.

why does it sound fishy? im a college student how would i have enough funds for everything i need/want? and yes a contract does mean crap because it is a legal document that would be signed by myself which would hold up in a small claims court if that was needed.

i was asking for a favor no need to be a ***** about me asking for a favor god damn
