any Auto Xers and trackers
Wondering if any of you guys go to a lot of auto-x & track days? Looking for people to consult with and just shoot the **** with on upgrades / mod plans.

1st = Performace Alignment
2nd = Sway Bar
3rd = Sticky tires
4th = Good brakes/pads
5th... more suspension mods, springs, bushings etc. These mods will make you faster (cost / speed) than power mods on the track... the rest is driver skill. Once you get a nice sturdy feel, then bring on the big power.

read the rules of your class and what mods are allowed before you buy anything. ex: whitelines anti-lift kit is not allowed in STS.
i second AWD_Dan's list. if you plan to do a lot of street driving and not a whole lot of auto-x, you might want to think about being conservative on the alignment or you might eat through tires. a sway bar will help a ton, makes the car feel much more neutral and predictable. just practice all you can, thats what makes good times. its not so much the car as the driver, although mods can help a ton once you know your cars capabilities

I autocross(ed) a WRX but it's not mine so I won't speak to mods
Ask ChrisW about that..
But you should definitely come out to an autocross and chat with the subie owners. They'll even give you ride alongs so you can see the difference between say, JIC and DMS coilovers. Also you can get the scoop on the rules if you're not already versed in autocross arcana.

The new design Whiteline anti-lift kit (ALK) is still designed to add 0.5 deg static positive castor to both front wheels while introducing a substantial amount of front anti-lift. The anodized alloy mounts coupled with the low compliance polyurethane bushings oppose front lift under acceleration while delivering up to +1 degree more positive caster. This leads to superior traction, reducing understeer allowing more power, faster acceleration and cornering. The additional static caster coupled with the new firmer bushings, deliver more dynamic caster dramatically sharpening initial turn-in response, forcing more consistent alignment angles through the corner allowing higher exit speeds. These ALK's are an essential component to increasing the handling characteristics of your Subaru, and fully compliment lowering springs and swaybars.
