i'd wait for the 599/29 it should be out by atleast feb, it was just out thanksgving week and they're probably not gonna cut any breaks for new years cause people are gonna sign up regardless of pricing

only + for the 749 is that it comes with 5 1hour sessions of training which is actually worth it, so many people think they know what they're doing but actually dont.. eh, lemme know

oh the $29 a year is not for the lifetime, they reserve the right increase the annual renewal by 5% which isnt much, but they never raise it anyway
Crap. I'd really rather save $150 than have 5 sessions. I'll see if I can get my local one to budge any, I know there are always exceptions to the rule.

The only issue is my current one runs out Dec 22th, so I really don't wanna be outta the gym (or have to lift at my ****ty company gym) for 1 month+.

That and my gf is paying for most of this for my christmas present =P

guys, watch yourself at 24hours, their cleaning standards are well below par, esp the ones in the marina (SF), the one on ocean ave and the one off of mckee in san jose.

point being: i contracted MRSA TWICE from these dirty gyms. don't know what MRSA is? google it...it blows, knocked me out of work and triathlon training for weeks on end.

i blame it on the disgusting pool at the ocean ave 24hour fitness. just my .02 but look for a better/cleaner gym. your health is worth it.

those deals are for family add-on.

werd... gyms are gross, but germs are anywhere. Hand sanitizer FTW.

BTW, I'm currently paying ($30/mo) and when I asked about converting to a multi-year type of deal, they said it wasn't possible because those deals were for "new members" only. I think he said I would have to quit for a few months or something before being considered "new" again.

I signed up with a huge group of people (about 15) and got 550/20 for the 3 year lifetime plan. Maybe you i-clubbers can talk to a 24hr rep and he can hook you guys up. I'm not too sure if they're still working that way nowadays though.

when the 599 comes back in hit me up if you want it, i can rewrite your membership to it, we're allowed to do it, but on a limited terms basis, so the guy other just didnt like you or just already did too many

oh and if you guys want a special one time group rate for a prepaid membership, lemme know, i'll see what i can do, its probably gonna take a minimum of like 20 people though and you'll have to come down to fremont.. hehe

What! - no way - I pay 1200 (ok, company subsidized) a year for the Clubsport in Pleasanton, and an extra 400 a year for tennis. But since it closes at 11 (LAME), I keep my 24hr account open, 49 a year.
