Antioch/brentwood area

Hey guys. Recently spun a bearing pretty bad in my 02 wagon. Went through my options and decided to go with an ej207 ver 7. Loan just got approved so once that's in I'll be ordering the motor and should be shipped within a week. Done plenty of research and I think I'll be doing most of the swap myself. Wondering if there's anyone in the area that might want to lend a hand that's swapped motors before. Any help would be great. Thanks!!!

You realize you have to run 100 octane now right? Retuning it for 91 octane is the silliest thing you can do.

Yup. I mean you can do it, but, I don't recommend it. Unless you can swing e85 all the time.

I had a full ver7 swap. And yes, dont run 91 with the 207. But it loves E85, ran 485whp on the stock block with stock location turbo and tmic. Loved this motor and recomend the ver7 over the ver8.

I'm in Brentwood and can help you out. Just give me a few weeks notice of when you'll need the help.

Then it's not worth swapping a 207. You're just denying it pleasure and probably won't be too happy with 91.

So im confused. You went and got a loan to buy a jdm motor you didnt know took 100 octane?
No research? Or........

Why didnt you just get a 205.....and build the internals?
