Post Anouncing Method 4 Motorsports! (Updated Name)

Let's try this again with our new name .

Annoucing a new, state-of-the-art, all-inclusive service, tuning and R&D destination in the Bay Area!...

Method 4 Motorsports!

Opening in just a couple of weeks, Method will be providing world class service with experienced, certified technicians who take great pride in their work and demonstrate extreme attention to detail. We specialize in complete car builds and chassis setup, both for the street and for the most serious of track use. From simple parts installations and adjustment to full-blown custom setups, from alignments and fluid changes to fabrication, we do it all, and we do it right the first time. We know our technicians are the best, and that’s why all labor at Method comes with a lifetime guarantee.

In addition to the great service department, Method will have a brand new, AWD, load-bearing, adjustable wheelbase, state-of-the-art dynamometer from Land and Sea Research. L&S has some of the most impressive dyno software anywhere in the world today, and its dyno system is extremely capable and adaptable. No dyno is complete without proper cooling and exhaust systems, however, and Method will be going all out. HUGE, powerful, directed axial fans will be providing massive volumes of fresh air for the car in order to simulate actual road conditions as best as possible. Exhaust ventilation will be taken care of so there are no noxious fumes inside of the shop. Finally we will complete the setup with a viewing screen in the customer lounge that will let you see a live view of your car on the dyno as well as the dyno graphs from each pull! This will be one of the nicest dyno facilities anywhere, and you will be proud to see your car up on the rollers.

YES! – Method will be performing exceptional engine management tuning on this brand new dyno. Cobb Tuning’s ProTuner and Ecutek software will be supported, as well as the capability to tune various standalones, piggybacks, etc.

Of course, no shop would be complete without retail. Method carries an extensive product line – from exclusive deals with Seibon, JIC, and Crucial Racing Systems, to Exedy, DBA, Agency Power, ACT, Hawk and many many dozens more.

From start to finish, we can take your car from stock, all the way to “ MethodBuilt.”… ready for time attack, circuit racing, or tearing up the street. Although our specialty is complete car builds and custom tunes, we’re also proud to be your shop of choice for your regular maintenance and parts needs.

Oh yes… who is Method 4? Well… Method is the result of a very exciting joining of forces of two Bay Area companies: Forced Induction Authority /// Race Centric, and Equilibrium Tuning. FIA has years of service history and race car building and setup experience – Subaru, Mitsubishi, and much more. EQ Tuning has steadily gained an impressive and deserved reputation for being one of the very best Subaru tuners in the area, and, candidly, the country. Ed’s maps and incredible remote tuning skills have been gaining national popularity, and Method is excited to have him manning the dyno. In addition to these two companies, Jeremy Siwek of Crucial Racing (EJ20Legacy on most of the forums), is a partner and will be involved in R&D and general management of Method.

Where is Method? Method will be located just south of San Francisco.

What cars does Method work on? We specialize in forced induction. Turbo Subaru’s, Mitsubishi Evolutions, Audi S4/A4, Skylines, etc. Additionally, we do custom work such as supercharger systems for trucks and F/I systems for other cars such as 350Z, M3, RX-8, and more. Our service, parts, and setup teams are incredibly experienced and full car setup and maintenance on most makes and models is performed with ease and professionalism, whether turbocharged, supercharged, or naturally aspirated. Shooting for a high HP, high revving, N/A engine?... no problem. We’ll consult with you to come up with the best options for your vehicle and its intended usage.

We hope everyone is as excited as we are! Method will be THE Bay Area tuning destination. We intend to set ourselves apart with the quality and professionalism that you deserve, and the attention to detail and wonderful facilities that your car deserves.

Keep an eye out for some darn quick cars sporting a “Method Built” logo… or see us at the shop to make your car one of them.

Method has to do with the methodical approach we take toward building and tuning each car and 4 refers to 4WD cars being our root and specialty. Of course the name also had to sound cool to us and our friends and be available... not an easy task at all. I'll let the other "masterminds" behind the name add to that if they wish .

Thanks

Congrats... again

Though I'm a little upset you didn't like my suggestion of "Monkey Wrench Performance", I'd still rock a Method 4 sticker I spose

I know and have worked with 2 of the 3 of these guys and am seriously stoked that they're all getting together... I'll probably stop working on my car entirely to just take it to them!

Congrats on the new name and the awesome joint venture guys!

I'm proud of you Ed, and I know you'll do well... as long as you follow the simple guidelines that you have followed since conception of your original business.

Enthusiast, honest, good work, fair price...

Those 4 guidelines, if followed will bring you great success. The bay area needed something like this, and from all of us old school Subaru enthusiasts, I say BRAVO.

PS: Make sure there is plenty of parking because if you've learned anything through the years, we (me) like to organize meets, and I'm sure your location will be the spot of many.

the bay area has been in sore need of a shop like this for long, long time.

In the beginning there was a big drive here for low bottom prices on stuff to put in all those wrx's us kids with barely enough cash rushed out to buy. Now the suby community is more mature and with this demands the quality professional venue. It looks hopeful Method can be this kind of place.

From what you've told me Method is not out to make a quick buck by selling cheap exhausts and intercoolers, it is out to build cars for the passionate enthusiast. Best of luck.

What are going to be your hourly install rates? Pretty soon I am looking to put in a new turbo/injectors and clutch(05 STi). Also what are your hourly dyno rates for tunning?
