This is critical. I once looked at the dipstick while the car was parked on the roadside. The camber of the road was enough to throw off the level reading.

Another point - don't check imediately after stopping the engine. It takes a few minutes for the oil to drain back into the sump.

Yeah the only thing that concerned me was when you said it was running poopy. I would not be worried about the consumption. I just ensure I check the levels every time I fill my gas tank. If you are really concerned about it have a compression test done.

I dont want to add to your paranoia so I will tell you I burn about a quart every 3k miles on a 30 k motor that has great compression.

reading > you. You clearly missed the part where I expressed my distaste for condescending attitudes. Just because he's an "old schooler" and I'm a self professed noob doesn't mean I'm going to sit around and take ****ty attitudes.

Unfortunately, your comment doesn't get you very far. You should take a moment and actually read the owners manual for your vehicle.

The **** do you need to bring up anything about my mother or father just because you failed to read the manual for your car?

I really don't care if you don't like attitude. I don't like your lack of brainpower for not bothering to read the owners manual.

Is this going to be a such a huge problem for you?

Sorry you started it when you decided it was ok to come in and **** on my thread with your smarter-than-thou attitude. I came here to learn and ask for help, not to be on the receiving end of some antisocial egotistical *******. My failure to RTFM doesn't entitle you to be an *******.

Your replies are more antagonistic than helpful.
