Keep your wits about you, always have a BoB in your car (bug out bag) that holds a few days worth of water packs, food, a few flares, change of clothing, spare boots, etc... and you can survive about anything.

so true, especially if you're living out there in the mountains.

Maybe I missed it, but it appears the article is about a family that made it out safe. So... yeah. Where is the sad?

That's good news. Seems like they were found this morning. So the story was updated.

I could have swore the article says they got their own vehicle free and got home on their own. Where did anyone see what kind of car it was?

It does say they were driving a Subaru.

The original thread title sort of made me wonder... who cares what kind of car it is when people are missing? Does the fact that they happened to be driving a Subaru make it any less sad than if they'd been driving a Pinto? I think not. Human life > type of car.

Then again, I could totally have been reading too far into that.

glad they were found (err... got themselves out)... when i posted it they were still "missing"...

... i was just pointing out that it seemed like deja vu in the thread title... would be equally sad if it were a pinto...
