I was going maybe ~30. It was raining pretty hard Saturday morning, headed to work in Marin. It happened just outside the tunnel on Park Presidio headed toward the bridge. I went to change lanes from the left to right, but the car never stopped drifting right. There was no shoulder because of the construction site, sideswiped one of those concrete barriers. Glad I didn't hit anyone and it was only me in the car. It happened so fast, as soon as I felt the loss of traction, I was already bouncing off the concrete barrier.

 

To come think of it, it's an AWD it's suppose handle great through ****ty condition. All I read about here they either loose traction. Anyways sorry for ur lost

 

Awd doesn't automatically mean you won't lose traction...

Sorry for your loss OP..yellow bugeyes are super rare..I've only seen a few ever

 

Exactly. AWD doesn't save you from hydroplaning. Sorry about the car. Glad you are ok.

P.S. Unfortunately, I'm not too surprised they totaled it out considering the value of bugeyes these days plus the broad scope of the damage.
