Another Bay Area restaurant thread... please help!
So, my mom's 60th birthday is coming up and I wanted to take her and some of her close friends out to a nice restaurant. Okay, here are the requirements:
Greater Bay Area - anywhere from the San Mateo bridge -> north. No further North than San Francisco. I don't want to cross the GG. Oakland, Berkeley area are fine. East Bay no farther south than the SM bridge.
Parking is an issue because there will be ~ 15 people. No SF neighborhood restaurants.
I guess that would go for seating in smaller restaurants also.
Budget is around ~$30 each.
Anything but Italian.
I would prefer great food over great location, but I wouldn't mind both.
It will probably be for lunch.
Thank so much in advance.
-Ryan

How about the Basque Cultural Center in South San Fran?

They have their own parking lot with ample parking and can accommodate large groups. Not super fancy, but quaint and the food is decent.

How about Spengers Grotto in Berkeley or P.F. Chang's in Emeryville? Both have parking.

I like Kincaid's in Burlingame. Overlooing the water and for lunch, it's relatively upscale and affordable. They have a free parking lot.
Max's OPera cafe in Burlingame is also good. Not as upscale, but since the wait staff sings live...maybe work out a deal with the management to have someone sing some of the guest of honor's favorite songs? Chicken Marsala is their best dish. PArking is easy.
These places are a bit cheaper than $30/person for lunch, so money saved can go for a party bus or a limo for the guest of honor. At the very least some flowers.

If you don't mind going to Oakland, you could try Jack London Square and eat at Scott's Seafood Restaurant. They also have a location in Walnut Creek. You could do a Champagne Jazz Brunch for $35/adult on a Sunday. Website is: http://scottseastbay.com
