I'd pick up 2k rounds of .45 and 9mm.
What brands of 9mm ammo are junk and should be avoided? What's a good brand but somewhat cheap for range shooting, target practice? How do I select what type of ammo to use at the range? For example, if I go with Federal, what grain should I use and what bullet style do u go for? Same question for personal defense.
I hear Hornady critical defense ammo is good for personal defense. Just doing my research if and when I get a handgun. If it matters any, I'm looking at the Ruger SR9.

i'll pick up 2k of .40 and .45 if you can get it still.

Sorry, I'm from upstate NY and it's hard to find a WalMart without ammo up there... So what's with all the ammo posts? Is ammo hard to come by in Cali or something?
