the rx8 and mazdaspeed6 pace cars are in SF between the library and city hall. I overheard the words "free tickets" from an actual cop on the street talking to his friend on the phone, that was funny. I couldnt find anyone to talk to though, i think they were in their semitruck. Im gonna see if i can score some at break time. Ill let you know

On Tuesday, October 17, the Klein Tools Pit Crew Challenge will take place in front of the Joseph L. Alioto Performing Arts Plaza (formerly Civic Center) in downtown San Francisco. The Mazda Courage and crew of BK Motorsports and the GT2 Porsche 911 of Flying Lizard will participate, demonstrating an American Le Mans Series pit stop. Select fans and media will have the opportunity to participate in a tire change. The Klein Tools Pit Crew Challenge will begin at 11:30 a.m.

All the tickets include pit passes. If you buy them at the track the day of the race, they are usually about $10 more expensive. But after paying the Ticketmaster extorsion fee it would probably work out to about the same. I would rather give my money to the track instead of Ticketmaster. ALMS is really cool twords the fans. You even can get out on the starting grid before the big race and check everything out after they have lined up the cars. It is kind of crazy with everyone out there, but how many other organizations let you do that before the race. Take warm clothes because when the sun goes down and the fog rolls in it can get COLD in a hurry. Last year it even rained for about 5 minutes and cars were flying off the track left and right. The track gets pretty slippery with the first rain of the year and all the fluids that have been put down over the summer. Go and have a blast.
