Thats pretty sick! It sure will be pretty fast in a straight line.
But I wonder if that extra weight will throw off the suspension geometry??

The Stock E30 M3 is a VERY well balanced car with AMAZING handling, so I am sure adding that V8 in place of its stock 4 cyl will throw the handling off quite a bit...

Yeah, why not just put it in a 325?

because they are completly different cars....the suspention on an E30 M3 is Amazing, it is a completly different setup then the 325...plus he is able to still call it an M3, and the M3 comes with a widebody kit from the factory ....On the otherhand, if he were to put it in a 325i, he might well have jus put it in a 318 since the motor is going to be pulled anyways..the suspention on the older 318's and 325's are all the same...the only E30 that has a different suspention is the M3...and the IS, but those are minor differences...

dang that's pretty clean. looks like they extended out the front; i remember people doing the 4.0L v8 swaps into them (from the 740i) into e30s and that was pretty insane already.

makes me want to pick up another e30

e30 m3s are so hard to find these day.

check out this link, they use a 325i motor. stroked it to 2.7 from 2.5 and slapped on a turbo.

yeah, but with the extra weight now, is it still that great? It's basically a drag car right? If so, he isn't gaining anything by using an M3. If it still handles well, that's different, but it seems like it's just a drag car.
