As a fellow vet, I'd like to thank Paul and the other grunts. Those guys are the real work horses. Guys like myself just observed from my giant grey houseboat in the gulf.

I mean, who do they think they are by not accepting a cripple into their force!??!? *shakes fist*
(I don't blame them one bit, I was young and didn't think they would care... boy was I wrong. All I wanted to do was be a pilot... I passed all the tests and all but after the med eval I failed horribly.
)Big thanks goes out to our vets. I really can't express how much respect I have for everyone who has served in our military. My family and I moved here when I was a kid and we've honestly lived the American dream, and that's all thanks to our vets who made sure that the American dream remained as an obtainable goal for anyone who worked hard. My parents are especially thankful to all our vets since they both escaped the communist reign of the former Yugoslavia (Basically the Serbs and the Soviets got together and took over what was the former Yugoslavia until Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia, as well as a few other countries broke free of that rule in 1991).
I don't think "Thank you" is good enough for the vets who gave their lives for our freedom, and I don't think it's enough for the vets who have seen hell, humanity at it's worse... Physical wounds heal but the mental scars never go away... I hope that those people find peace sometime in their lives, the mental part of war is by far the worst (according to my friends who have seen combat in Iraq and A-land)
