uhm.. I only hear like.. 4 songs played together in there... and I've noticed the same pattern with quite a few other groups.. at least LP has originality in that they have fusion of different styles of music into something that sounds good. I've listened to every song Linkin Park has done, and this combo is only like 25-30% of their songs. It's just that these are the songs that happen to get air play.
They use the same structure in some of their songs, but that hardly makes them all the same.
BTW, my wife, a clinical neuropsychologist, has this to say about their lyrics.
"Their song lyrics have a lot of stuff that is a reflection of their relationship with their mothers. Imagine, as you listen to their songs, that the person they are talking about or to is their mother, and their songs make a lot of sense."
... and she LIKES Linkin Park.

I have to disagree with Aaron, I think Chester has some talent, his voice is very good. However, as far as Linkin Park is concerned that is a different story. I occassionally listen to their cd, but not too often. The reason why their songs are so repetitive is simple: they have a formula for their songs. They know how to right catchy songs that appeal to people in every way. Just listen to song #6-10 on Meteora, and you will know exactly what I am talking about - especially track 7. They have the formula and nothing will stop them. Production has taken over the talent in their group.
