And the only reason they have those contracts is because they also supply all silencers that the military buys. Buy a Streamlight M series instead. The M3 (the equivilant of the one you have there) is only like $200 and the M6 upgrades to an integrated laser aiming device for less than a $100 more. For just over $400 you get the M6X with a 80k CP xenon bulb, laser aiming device, plus a nearly indestructable waterproof body. Most police forces use Streamlights, not SureFires. PM me if you have any questions.

Hey Chris...thanks for the info...My friend just bought exactly what you describe and it went bad on him in a week. I'm probably going to go check out all the options at a local shop and pic whichever one feels more quality and gets the best reviews.

Why? Just because you're an ultra-negative pessimism junkie?

There's bad/defective samples of everything. Check out the StreamLight model if you can get your habds on one... it's a nice little unit. Comes with a good warrantly as well. The surefire does FEEL nicer though because it uses an aluminum bevel around the lens whereas the StreamLight uses a polycarbonate unit. It all comes down to personal preferance and budget.

Add the DVD Star Wars Trilogy box set to my list.
