All Hail Petter, World Rally Champion!!
What an awesome race Petter drove in Great Brittain!! He drove the hell out of that car. I was rooting for him the whole time. But if Citroen didn't give Loeb orders to slow down and keep the car in one piece, it might have been different.
All suby owners, you can be even more proud of what you drive!!! And you will see every other Subaru commercial commemorating this World Championship Win!!!!

Congrats also to Tommi for his podium finish, who drove a great rally, locked in a close battle with Colin through each stage. A great effort and fitting end to an illustrious career.

watching Petter win is great, he is such a lively charecter. his stage dive/crowd surfing antics were quite something to watch. it's great to see him win the title, but was sorry to see Citroen behave like Ferrari, and hold back Loeb with team orders -- it sullies Petter's title. even so, Petter drove a great race, and was a worth winner of the championship.
i'm sorry to see Makinnen go, but it's nice to see him leave the game on the podium.

Petter won the Drivers championship for 2003. The Manufacturers title went to...Citroen. Hopefully the manufacturers title will be more competitive next year with the rule changes.

this year the mannufacturer's championship was closer than it has been for the last three or four years. Peugot has dominated that title, taking the crown well before the last round of the season. having it come down to the last rally just like the drivers title was a real change. hopefully next year will be just as good.
