Exclamation All bay area subaru owners

ok as all you know i went through a whole lot of stuff with green valley. they told me i bent valves, and i over reved the engine. it took 3 weeks for me to get the car back. they changed he left head, and when i got it back said i had one in the right head and gave it back to me.

yesterday i went to santa cruz subaru (thanks for helping me out guys). they gave me a loaner and all. i called them this morning to find out what they had found. lol. i am so pissed off with green valley. they miss diegnosed my car. said i had bent valves made me wait for it. well santa cruz found out what was really wrong. the pre cat came apart and pieces went into my turbo. so they are ordering a new cat and new turbo for it. when they were finding out the problem they noticed bolts missing from the timing belt cover, and noticed very shotty work. BIG PROPS TO SUBARU OF SANTA CRUZ. if anyone ever has any problems with there car i highly recomend them. mark in the service dept did everything to help me out.

so the moral of the story don't go to green valley. there service is terrible and i found out that it was really worth the 120 mile drive to santa cruz.

thanks for reading this

p.s. i am gonna get my car back:banana:

Woah that's messed up. Anyone hear of other cases of the uppipe cat coming apart? That's scary. Maybe we should take them out and replace them with straight pipes.

lol i agree with the strait pipe.lol ok more trash on green valley. when santa cruz started lookin at my car they noticed bolts missing off the timing belt cover. so they did some inspecting and found my left head valve cover leaking oil. so they wanted to check the timing. well needless to say they messed up one of the cam gears and now snata cruz has to go in and fix everything they messed up.

well to everyone don't let it happen to you.

DON'T GO TO GREEN VALLEY

glad to hear that santa cruz is making it right. it just proves that they are indeed the better place to go. add 1 more to santa cruz's score.

I have an appointment at GVF/M/S/S next monday for service. Good job it's just for some reflash. I imagine they won't have to turn wrenches on the car for that. Not to worry though, I doub't they'd touch my car under warranty thanks to mods and I won't be authorizing any repairs when I drop it off.

Woah crazy... this wasn't the same time we heard the detonation, was it?! That would be a weird combo... pinging sounds with no/low boost. Maybe that was cat material ripping off when we pushed it hard
