I am posting this to alert all I-Club members about Albany Subaru's terrible oursourcing shops. If you get into an accident don't bring it to them!

I hit something on the 80 freeway near Emeryville several weeks ago and it damaged my front bumper and puctured my oil pan. To make a long story short, the closest Subaru shop was in Albany and I had the car towed to Albany Subary to get it fixed. They replaced my oil pan but outsourced the autobody work to Rose Autobody in Richmond. I also found out they outsource their detailing and steam cleaning to another shop in the hood at Richmond called "Chalks". Both outsourced locations are miles from Albany Subaru and I can only imagine the abuse my Vishnu Stage2 wagon had to endure going to and from these shops! Anyway both shops do terrible work. I picked up my wagon today and my car smokes badly because they did not clean all the oil from the bottom. I looked under the car only to see oil still on the exhaust and chassis. My right fender is now loose because the body shop broke the plastic wheel well attachment. They didn't even bother to clean my car. The inside is dirty from all the dust that accumulates in a body shop.

Don't bring your car to Albany Subaru for ANY body work or cleaning. They also screwed me yesterday by telling me my car was finished and ready for pickup only to find out it was still in the body shop. This is the worst experience from a dealer and I would not wish it on anyone. Having gone through this I would think twice about the free detailing offfer dealers propose to you.

 

should have took it over to weatherford bmw for body work. excellent service.

thanks for the heads-up. Drove off the lot with a scratch on the bumper. John, the owner said he would buff that out. Maybe I should live with the scratch on a black car!
