what's your download/upload rate?

mine is relatively slow (3mbps according to speedtest.net), so i'm trying to figure out if it's just my hardware or it's normal for a 3mbps here in alameda with comcast cable internet.

thanks

speedtest.net using the san jose server. my numbers were 3xxx for download and 7xx for upload. which is pretty slow imo.

showoff! hahahah

=P

but yea... so far from my own experiences, the motorola modem has been the most reliable, stable, and fastest experience i've had for comcast.

previous modems include: the old 3com sharkfin, the rca, and dlink. the 3com worked great while it lasted me for 3 years... the rca and dlink were just POS modems.. dlink died after 2 weeks and the rca never worked... even tho i exchanged it 3 times already thru comcast.. so i gave up and got the modem from bestbuy directly... w00t saved myself $10 bucks from comcast for having my own modem. hahaha..

I'm in fremont and used the SF Server. I am using the linksys cable modem. Have never had a problem with it except for the dumbasses at comcast trying to set it up. I pretty much had to talk them through it.

How the heck is everyone getting 30+Mbps downloads?? Isn't the normal cable speed 3-6Mbps?

*sigh* I miss Comcast, imho, one of the better cable companies that I've dealt with.

Oh, my roommate told me that Comcast is capping downloads at 60gigs/month. Is that true? If so, that sucks.
