aim virus

apparently, there is a link going around on aim saying "is this you "click" link type deal. Ive talked to a couple of friends who have opened it, they now have some type of virus. I got the link from a friend but didn't open it. Soooo, anyways, beware.

My friend had that on his computer and it also had my cell phone # on it for him to send me text messages, so it sorta annoyed me that I got two odd text messages on my phone from that. Luckily for me, I have a Mac.

LOL, I got that IM yesterday. Though, if you hover your mouse over the link it shows it as an .exe file... who's stupid enough to click an .exe file from someone you don't know?

Exactly people. Clicking on "Is this you?" or "Pictures from the beach" on an AIM window is almost as bad as dressing up like Carmen Electra and visiting the jail house shower. GOSH!!!

you'd be surprised at the lack of common sense.
When I was doing testing at work on some viruses I emailed a link to a virus encoded in base64 text with heading that stated 'this is a link to a virus I tested to do blah blah blah' and 2 people tried to download it before even reading what it was so their AV went off but nothing happened, and then they freaked out.
Now they block my website from work.

But the point is, people are not cautious enough to be using the internet. The internet now days is like E-compton, if you're not careful you are gonna get popped. PLOW PLOW!!
