Awesome! My 15 month old is tearing up the house. It's great. I need to get video of him drumming. He holds the drum sticks properly and plays off of 3 different surfaces to hear the different sounds they make. It's a lot of fun right now.

Rolling over? That was my sons first big deal, the roll over. Once he rolled over he would sometimes lift up his head and get his arms under him. But he didn't crawl long before he started walking.

This is a great book for a new Dad. Short, humorous, and to the point. I highly recommend it.

Yeah, every time we pull into the driveway, or if she even catches a glimpse of it in the garage, she starts saying "skateboard" repeatedly until you agree to it. At first I would just hold her and carve down the street which she loved. Now she wants to do that as well as ride it on her own. She makes me smile more than I thought one could.

That's great. My son was in his jogging stroller and after I pushed it up a hill I decided to run down it. He laughed the whole way. I'm sure he'll be all over wanting to do anything remotely dangerous. He already takes pillows off the couch, throws them on the floor and dive bombs off head first.

lol she is 4.5 months now...dayam does time fly...first 2 months sucked so much....every 2 hours feeding, changing diapers, crying ugh....but now we get 6-8 hours at nite..few times she went 12hrs which was like OMG!! awesome...

she is way more interactive now and imitates everything you do...its just so amazing watching them develop physically and mentally..

i cant wait till she starts crawling but lol i heard other parents say, once she starts crawling you will wish she was still 4months old when she couldnt crawl...

my wife is going back to work in 3 weeks so that will b the tough part droppin her off at the enlaws or my parents but we got bills to pay...

all i can say is i love being a parent. didnt think i would love it that much but a child is a true miracle and teaches you so much about yourself too..it isnt for everyone but if you get the chance to be a parent its one of the best things in the world =)

thanks guys for all the advice

Cute! I don't wish he was still not able to crawl. He's only gotten more fun as he now gets into everything and runs all over the house. I know people like to think of them small when you could hold them in your arms. My boy weighs 26 pounds and is a handful, but it's still fun.

Lucky you were getting 6-8 hours of sleep at night. My son was up every 2-3 hours at night. Those months were rough.

What a cutie! Congrats!

Don't be in a rush for her to move on to the next stage because it will come and be over before you know it. You gotta enjoy each stage she's at, cuz it won't last. At this age, every month is a different stage. By 1 yr, it'll be every 3 mo. Then by 2 yr, every 6 mo. etc.

But the point is, each stage is unique. Don't rush her into the crawling or the walking thing either... don't worry it will come. (Ever met a non-walking adult with good legs... "yeah, just never learned how to walk".... of course not) You should appreciate her immobility right now.

Stimulate her mind by reading to her, talking to her, letting her see/feel/touch/smell new things. Make sure she has the proper amount of rest, food, hydration. And we live in a great time where it's totally accepted for dad's to smoother their kids in love.

Kids are an ultimate sacrifice, but also an unmatchable reward.
