That took me a second, but resulted in a lot of laughter!
Good catch.
Also, I agree that CL's aren't bad cars, I'm sure they are fine family touring cars but don't stand a CHANCE against an STi, or hell, don't stand a chance against a regular WRX.
You know the kids that were being douches got their cars from their parents as hand me downs and try to race everyone out there. They were Acura CL type S'.... What's the diff between a type S and a regular CL?
My STi is fairly stock, only has exhaust and an access port and was tuned by Mike from GST so I'm fairly sure that I could have beat them so badly that I'd have enough time to stick my bare *** out of the window and take a projectile crap onto his Acura CL
(picture some giant white guy taking a projectile turd, landing right smack in the center if thier windshield, that'd be me with Jewpac driving the gettaway car... That's how me and 'pac roll)

BTW, who would win in a drag race, a non-turbo Impreza (the highest end non-turbo model) VS an Acura CL... Both the regular CL and the type S.
Since we're on the subject, what about around a road course... Lets say 5 laps around thunderhill in each car... Who would be victorious? I'm swaying towards the CL Type S for all categories since the non-turbo Impreza is pretty damn slow but it does handle pretty well from the factory, so that's a tough question....
I just dug up the specs on a CL Type-S, here they are:
260hp @ 6100rpm (peak)
215/50/17
0-60 in 6.7 seconds
Curb weight: 3,510 lbs
1/4 mile = 14.8 @ 96.5mph
The regular CL (non type-S) has 225hp. (specs not shown for the regular CL)
The car comes with their version of a "manumatic" which means that you can shift + or - or just leave it in auto mode and it will act like an automatic.
With all that being said, there's no way in hell that a CL type-S could even come close to an STi in any category. A stock STi would spank the CL Type-S, so just imagine an STi with an extra 40 or so horse power from some very basic modifications like exhaust and a tune! Even if the CL had a super charger, an STi would still walk away from it from a stand still... Lets not focus on the STi though, lets think about who would win in a 5 lap road course battle...
A non turbo Impreza
VS
An Acura CL type S
To make it fair, both cars are fitted with the same exact tires, and in this case, lets just give both of them Bridgestone Potenza SO3 Pole Positions. Great tires and will even out any advantages one car might have against the other based on tire performance.
I know a stock WRX would beat the type-S, no question... Especially the new one that got a boost in power, no question there... The new WRX would walk all over the type S, even with the stock tires (which are a lot better than the old RE92's!).
Has anyone on here ever owned an acura CL type S? (as in, really owned one and not just joked around in a thread about owning one) In your opinion, who would win in a race? A non-turbo Impreza (any year) or a CL Type-S? Remember, not a drag race, but rather a road course race consisting of 5 laps + same tires for both cars (S03pp).
The Impreza has a huge power disadvantage... 170 vs 260, but the impreza weighs a lot less 3050 (or something) vs the CL's 3510lbs. The impreza also has AWD and handles a lot bettter than the FWD CL-S.
It's a tough call, so what do you guys think the end result would be?
