If it's on public property they usually come out. For non serious accident I have seen where people go into the station and file a report just so they have it in case. But for Jeff's case the guy made an illegal turn and hitting him in the process, I hope they cited the guy for doing so.

If I remember right you only have 48 or 72 hours to have a report filed.
[QUOTE=ipozestu;2894620]I dialed 911. To my knowledge the report is mandatory unless you're crazy or an uninsured illegal.[/QUOT]
I'm any case it's best to file one.

Sucks man, but the good news is that if it was in fact his fault 100%, his insurance WILL cover your rental costs and whatever doctors bills you might have. Don't let them push you around, because they WILL try to weasel their way out of it so don't let them! I know you're not the type to let people try to get over on you but I'm still throwing that out there because insurance companies are EVIL-CHEAP-BASTARDS! ECB!!!

Already talks of totaling. This breaks my heart because I love this car and I'm never going to be able to find another like it. I have equity in the vehicle, but I'd rather have my car than a check.
Yeah like everyone else said. As long as your not at fault and there is insurance on the other party your okay. Go see a doctor and a chiropractor and get your car fixed with a good shop. Get a "Good" rental lol.

On a lighter note this thread, "Accident this moring... First time for everything, I guess." is right below Stupid's thread "The coolest you'll look pooping your pants"
That gave me a little chuckle because I have the mentality of a fifth grader.

Have you seen a doctor?? You can get something called Pain and Suffering money, say your traumatized and stuff. That's what one of my friends did, it's not much, but hey, take whatever you can. Just make sure you get a copy of that police report too. Hope everything works out fine and you can save your car.

I just had a better look at it on the lift. I think they may be able to save it. I think my avoidance may have actually caused less damage than if i had continued to drive straight. Who's to say. I'm not injured so I won't claim that I am. Although the kid was on his parents insurance, they live in Menlo and he is attending Harvard.
