Exclamation ABS "Recall" Modified ECU from Dealer?

I have recently recieved a letter from subaru saying that there have been "expressed concerns" about the subaru's ABS response, saying that it has a delay. They are offering, as they stated, "a modified ECU" which is calibrated to fix the delayed response. (this is of no charge to us by the way, IT FREE). I, myself have experienced such a delay on the ABS, but it happens very little.

I was wondering if any you guys have recieved the same letter, and who was thinking about switching out their ECU's for a "modified" one from dealer? what you guys think?

PS. IT IS NOT MANDATORY. Subaru is offering this to "enhance [our] statisfaction with our car and ABS.

I think any "free" offer from the dealer is a good one, if the dealer is offering I think you should take advantage of the opportunity.

What is the process? Do they switch ecu's on you or something? Just want to know since most of us have reflashes and really don't want the dealership knowing, or if they swap ECU's we lose our reflash

if they sent you a letter id go get it done. i am a technician for another car make but i know that some recalls are only certain vin numbered cars due to change in production line stock and you should get it done specially being its brake related i wouldn't want to take the chance that the delay would happen when you need the brakes the most
