97 JDM WRX engine ?'s

Im considering picking up a 97 JDM WRX EJ20. Comes with damn near everything, including the full wiring harness, except, which is kind of a big except, the ECU, and downpipe, which is minimal, i think anyway. So I just needed to know what might be my best way to fill the ECU gap, other than say a Link which will cost a lot. I dont know, probably not, but an 02-03 ECU more than likely will not work as the 02+ have differences than the 97's. Im gonna email Bill at I-Speed about it unless he or Chris find this before, ah hell, Ill do it anyway. So I guess I want some feedback and opinions as well as the answer to the ECU question also. Thanks guys.

Patrick

PS. The other guy i was gonna get my USDM EJ20 from sold it locally without telling me....damn damn damn.

What is it, a EJ20K, G, ?

Try Gruppe-S to see if they can get the ECU for it. The fact it has a full wiring harness is awesome.
