Backstory:
Two years ago, my In-law's neighbor moved and abandoned their cat. My In-laws took him in and all was fine until three months ago when a new neighbor moved in and kept trapping the cat and sending him to the pound (3x total).
My In-laws can't keep him indoors permanently because he hates it, so they found a home with their nephew who goes to school in Irvine. He's not supposed to have pets and he just got reported to his Property Manager and now has to get rid of him (deadline was Monday) before this weekend as he goes out of town. My wife's cousin was supposed to drive him up to norcal but got pissed at the cats' meowing and said it wasn't her responsibility and left him in Irvine.
My wife (hysterical and not thinking straight right now) wants to drive six hours to Irvine with her other cousin, in Thanksgiving traffic tonight, pick up the cat, and drive six hours back right away.
The Begging:
Is there ANYONE who is coming up today from socal, to norcal, who wouldn't mind picking up a meowing cat? We will pay you for the extra gas, and $100, and you'll be saving a cat's life. I really don't want my wife to drive there, AND back, the DAY BEFORE Thanksgiving, and I can't drive for more than a few hours at a time because of my back.
