well comin home from tahoe on saturday after doin a day trip i was coming into Hollister on 156 and was passing a truck and got pulled over. i know i wasn't going 86, i was probably around 70 something but whatever. I have looked at ticketassassin.com and read what they have to say. does anyone else have any other info that could help me out?

if you have to pass a truck for safety purposes... then u should definitely fight it.
I was driving on 880 s this weekend (going the speedlimit) and a very long big-rig started shifting into me (I was in the far right lane)... i took part of the shoulder and brought it up to 90.... I would never accept a ticket for something like that... and the law recognizes that speeding is sometimes necessary for safety purposes.

 

That sucks dude, my advice to you would be to fight it, won't hurt anything. If anything it will lower your ticket and then you can go to traffic school.

sorry to hear about the ticket. did they do anything about the exhaust too? also emailing you about the ticket stuff now.

 

i turned my car off before he pulled up so he wouldnt hear the exhaust. i was freakin though when i went to leave because he was still behind me and thought he would more than likely pull me over again, but he didn't. I think i went to school less than 18 months ago so i think that is out of the question.
He DID NOT show me the radar and he didnt radar me till he turned around( i have a radar detector, cobra something or other), which is when i started to slow down to about 65-60 so i think the ticket was way off. i passed the truck for two reasons. 1. he was going about 35 and 2 he was throwing a TON of debris up on my car because he was halfway on the side of the road(btw it was a two lane road). im going to try to do the ticketassassin.com thing and see if that works. hopefully it will. i still have like 2 months till the stupid ticket comes.
