I'm just asking because it sounds so bizarre to be pulled over for essentially nothing. Seems like they would have real laws to enforce.
Thats what happens when cops have nothing better to do in the East Bay.

Seems like the police in the East Bay are real ball busters.

hassled him and asked a bunch of questions... but it was a STOCK sti dumped with red hose dressup in the engine bay... the cop let him off but still the whole thing sucked

so anyone selling a plate to cover the downpipe from view under the car?

edgar,

damn I would buy it if there was a cover for the downpipe! I already made a ghetto heat shield (rattles like crazy) to hide my downpipe in the engine bay.

you should put on your front license plate so that they don't have an easy reason to pull you over. that was what tipped him off since he was in front of you.

If I was a cop and I saw a rich white kid who looked like you driving around trying to act black i'd probably try to find a reason to pull you over as well.

Sucks that you can't put the turbo kit in next weekend now though

Its a ref ticket, which means he will have to go to the ref, and ofcourse he can't go to the ref before the ticket comes in, and ofcourse the ticket wont come in within a week.

Use your head before asking questions next time, TIA

No front plate = illegal.
Two screws would've saved quite a hassle.

Even though I dislike it, that's exactly why my front plates are on.

yeah...same here..thats why I have my front plates on. Tinted front windows can also be a good reason for the cops to pull you over..
