This is very wrong, my father was a cop but never beat on a helpless old man.

That is seriously F'ed up. I can't believe they beat an old man. Those involved should be in jail mixed with the general population. It isn't right that they can walk the streets. Any regular citizen who'd pull a stunt like that would be facing some serious jail time. Goes to show how crappy our judicial system is. Intoxicated or not that was blatant use of force.

The media is always biased, period. No one will ever know what really happened. That said, nothing can justify how Davis was treated by those officers. A 64 y/o man hardly poses such a threat that he must be hit so many times that he bleeds, into the gutter no less. Firing two of the officers and suspending the other is a good start. I'm not sure about the two FBI agents though, they probably saw the three officers having trouble with the man and just went to help. Not knowing the whole story they had to go by what they saw, which is the right thing to do. The FBI agents didn't have the luxury of being able to think and ask questions first, the three NO officers did, and they apparently failed.

Media not acceptable ? are you kidding me. Thank God they were there I say.... There was like 4 of them and he when the old man was on the ground, one officer was still pounding on the old mans head....come on man, my father never beat up on helpless folks let alone a 64 year old weakling (some are still strong). Dad was in 36 years in the force bro !!! We a;ways hear stories from him about guys like that but they have a tight lip among the peers back in the days. Some are just abusive and it is not acceptable.
Those guys are just too much and got used to beating up drunks and cant tell a threat from a non threat old man.

+1
how can you argue the video.
Right or Wrong in the actions of the police I can say 1 thing: no matter what their reasons for taking the old man down, the shouldn't have had to use that much force. I alone could take an old man down to the ground and restrain him without hurting either of us....and if he was really that tough, why not just taser him?
Arguing about whether or not use of force was justified is the wrong way to go about it here. Even if the police needed to use force in this situation, what they did was still wrong and that's why they were fired.
