60% oem Bridgestone tires adequate for Tahoe snow?

im goin up to tahoe this weekend. i had some sumitomo htr zII summer tires on my volks with about 90% tread left but since these weren't M+S rated, I swapped them out for my stockers. they currently have about 60% tread left on the oem bridgestone re92's. will that be enough to handle the light snow up in tahoe?

Should be okay for light snow. I would get some cable chains just in case, les schwab has them for $30 and you can return them at the end of the season if unused. Drive slow and keep plenty of distance in front of you and the car in front and always pay attention to the road. If you are driving in the early morning hours, be careful of shady spots. That's where black ice reside.

This past week, on monday, when the big storm hit tahoe....I was doing okay on highway 50 with chain controls on. And I have about 60% tread leve on the re92's. In fact, it felt super grippy...and I saw some an audi quattro slammed into the snow bank. However, on a steep incline on a small unplowed road in south lake tahoe, the re92's lost traction and I was spinning like a *****...

Last time I went up I took my dads outback with RE92's 60% left in the rear and probably like 40% in the front... no problems whatsoever.
