To be fair, since they have entered a beauty contest the girls are open to scrutiny of their beauty. If they were in a Miss Mazda Raceway contest that was based on their on track driving ability, there'd be more emphasis on said ability (in theory).
Thus if we are commenting on how hot/not these girls are, its wholly appropriate.
