I am the only one arpund hear rockin the g-Force T/A KDWS ?

I have yet to drive them in the snow, but year round wet/dry performance is pretty reasonable, not to mention great tread wear. I would like some more grip though as they hold the car back just a little when pushed to the limit on stock suspension ('03 WRX).

when i was thinking about getting the RE050A, i emailed Luke@tirerack about this and he mentioned that the RE050A PP was significantly better in regards to dry grip and sidewall stiffness. i dont know how true that is considering he is a tirerack rep, but i dont doubt his expert opinion.

i've read about a lot of people using the KDWS. when i was looking for an all-season tire, i had narrowed it down to the pzero nero and KDWS based on all the positive reviews, this is kinda what i gathered about the KDWS:

- good wet and dry grip
- stiff sidewalls
- good snow traction
- good dirt traction

there arent a lot of tires out there that are simultaneously good at all these.

oh yeah, by the way, these have VERY stiff sidewalls. my buddy tried to mount them at the 76 shop he used to work at and their mounting machine would get half way and then wouldnt budge if you get these, go to the pros to get them mounte...no hook ups installing them at dinky shops

pole position is a stickier compound I believe. just want till they release something better than the pole position, and then buy the pole positions for cheap. You can always save money if you dont mind being a ste or so behind in technology

that's how i roll - buy last year's top of the line. i figure, hey, if you want top of the line without the top of the line prices, whats one year difference if you upgrade every few years anyway?

you were using the re050a's at the auto-x? I heard they werent too good for auto-x but I've never known if thats grip-wise or if they just get torn up quickly. If I do the auto-x I dont care about maximum grip cause I'd just be doing it for fun

yeah i got Hankook RS2's for my miata and that ruined the fun of that car for me. I used to drift the whole autoX with my 3 different combo of costco/sears tires 700 treadwear or something. NOW THAT WAS FUN!

Yeah my tires are the re050a's They were ok at the autoX but the grain of the concrete at Marina can throw off your braking or turning going certain directions. But for $80 i think they are alright.

Never really understood why people like the TIRE RACK so much?! they dont carry Falken or Hankook or any other popular tire. If your looking for a bargain the only one is the Kuhmo MX from what i hear, i have no other experience. I just see their magazine adds and laugh at people paying those prices.
