19s?? Yellow brakes??

*Yawn*

Only thing that would get me to consider letting go of my 04 STi would be a crosstrek STi.

Red seat belts FTMFW
They all already had red accent seats except the Launch Editions which have blue accents. Even the lowly "sport" models have red stitching. Red seatbelts kinda goofy.

Yawn. I saw this on Jalopnik a while back and thought of posting, but it just did not feel newsworthy.

I think Subaru should just cancel the WRX and STi models and concentrate on the regular pedestrian cars...a la Toyota. They clearly care about refinement and comfort over any sort of performance. STi is 2 decades old tech at this point and when you concentrate on 19" wheels, caliper paint and seat belt color...you know it is time to take the model line out back and take it out of its misery.

And anyone that says the new models are more involved and enthusiast oriented...needs to actually go out and drive involved enthusiast oriented cars.

A lot of people seem to say that, but you really don't want a new motor in its first few years vs. one that is tried and true and there are literally tons of parts and support for already. Yes, we all want to see what the next motor is, but it also needs to be reliable and I think what they're trying to do is get more out of that 2.0 but doing that reliably is probably proving to be a bit more work.

Brakes - 6 pot front/4 pot rear are what I already have. I notice it for sure, but it isn't like the previous Brembos weren't good enough or anything.
