So after a short hiatus, the Mendocino Rally is back for 2017! This year's event will be a one day affair in the South Cow Mountain OHV park in Ukiah. In past events, this has been run as the second day of the two-day event. We need volunteers to help run timing controls and whatnot so if you have the weekend available we could really use the help. As a volunteer you will be face to face with rally cars and will also get an event t-shirt. Since there will be no spectator areas this year this will also be your only way to see rally cars in action in all of NorCal. Come on out and have fun with a bunch of rally nerds and help support the NorCal rally community!!!

With the one-day format we're using this year we don't have room at the staging/service area for cars other than those needed to service the rally cars. We've had spectator areas in the past events but with the restructuring of the event we cannot facilitate them this year. That's why everyone that's interested should just volunteer! You get to actually be a part of the rally!!
The weather should be much nicer in October than the summer dates we've traditionally run the event, which is one of the reasons we restructured the event in the first place.
The support of the community (volunteers, drivers, HAMs, etc.) is what enables rallies to take place. Come on out and have a blast!

Jess and I are possibly down. This is soon after a 3000 mile move back to California. I will post up here and on the official site if it works out. Can we get on a good work group again? Skinny dipping after the event is choice.

Oh and I am pretty sure some people would have died last time in the heat if I did not bring a pop up tent. That one finish out in the open with no shade was brutal! It is a good thing we had coolers full of soda!

You should choose controls and timing as that will be the closest to the cars (you can hand the co-drivers their timing cards).

We really need volunteers to make sure this event happens. If anyone has the weekend free, I promise it will be an absolute blast! Volunteers make rallying happen.
