2014 WRX Pricing Speculations
I talked to a car dealership and it's speculated that the 2014 models will be the same gen as the 2013. I was wondering...are prices going to be the same as 2013, or will they increase slightly to offset with inflation?
Scenario 1:
2014 model is the same as 2013. Will the price be the same?
Scenario 2:
2014 model is a complete redesign. How much will the price increase?
I've tried finding data from the previous gen switches but the answers aren't that solid. Any experienced members know about this? Thanks!

I would expect it to be 1000-1500 more, or maybe 500 more msrp but all the models come with stupid *** dealer add ons that jack up the price. always has been that way and always will be especially as these cars get more popular and the supply stays the same

The new dealer that I'm working with now is offering to do it at invoice. I'm ordering the car so I won't have to deal with bloat packages, which is nice. I'm hoping it won't be 1-1.5k more. If it is, I would think there will be some included accessories or something.

Yeah. I've tried finding timelines of "leaked" mule testing dates with actual release dates. It seems that it's usually a year later that the new models release after the mules. So in this case, the redesign seems to be in line for the 2015 release.

I read that SOA raised prices across the board, so I would expect the car prices to reflect that. The car will most likely be a 2015MY released in 2014.

We just bought a 2013 Outback. I know not the same car but in the same situation, no major redesign for 2014. Prices for the Outback did increase, destination charge also went up, and they are having big discounts on 2013 models. Plus very good finance rates.
For us, a 2013 vs. 2014 Outback over the term of the car meant about 5K difference.

I think he's talking 5k from:
1) 2013 prices are currently lower than you'll talk down a 2014 to.
2) finance charges are low on the entire price
3) MSRP difference.
The BULK of the $5k is 1) & 2).
3) is relatively small in comparison.

You're right. The 2013 might be at invoice or below invoice where as the 2014 are at MSRP or near MSRP.
Yes I was talking about all of those factors not just the increase in MSRP. But if you are getting a new car and will finance (at the rate that they are offering, you can make more money with your money). The total cost of acquisition should be considered.
Yeah, my wife needs a new commuter. We were going wait and order a '14 N/A Impreza, but at the prices 13s are going for right now, I am thinking it best to get a '13.
I just need to get her to give a range of colors and options so we can shop. Hopefully I can get her to give me more than 1 color so I can actually negotiate. We got hosed on our Volvo because we got to the lot and she fell in love with one and only one color and the whole game plan was gone. There was basically one that had the options we wanted (and whole bunch of dealer bloat options we didn't) in that color in all of NorCal.

I'm thinking of buying a BRZ soon and it will be my first big purchase ever. I just wanna do everything the best way possible, and will provably use the Subaru VIP program for LNT
