I'm stoked out of my mind. He was hands down my favorite at the 5 spot.

I was starting to get excited watching Bridgewater fall. If he fell to Oakland it would have been the best thing to happen to them in the draft probably ever. LOL! That was probably the best value pick of the draft right there. The vikings were able to get something they needed (I had Barr as my number 1 LB before the combine and number 2 after with Shazier 3) and still have possibly the best QB in the draft fall on their laps. Someone was working some mojo.

But now that he's gone... Carr will probably end up in Houston but if he's on the board he'll end up in Oakland. I would not put that against them.

It's tough to say what the Brown are going to do but if Cody Latimer is still on the board I'd rather see Oakland take him than Carr... or even Lee. But Carr will be tough to pass up.

Ealy is one of the guys I had ear marked for this pick and he's still there. Hell I wouldn't even be bummed if they took a a flyer on Hyde here.

This is a much much tougher choice for them than the first pick was. There are probably 6 guys that would be good picks at this slot for them. A few of them will be made for them but it will still come down to 3 guys.

I'll go ahead and put my round 2 choices for Oakland in order.

Latimer
Nix/Ealy
Lee
Hyde
Bitonio
Carr

I don't know why but I'm not sold on Carr. Possibly because he got completely outplayed in that SJ St. game.

Round 3.
If Houston takes Carr and Oakland passes on a QB in the second around they could go for one here in the 3rd. I've seen some mock drafts with Jimmy dropping this far. If that happens he could be a decent pick here. Savage, and Thomas are two other QB's that wouldn't be terrible choices here. But if they passed in the first 2 rounds I'd like to see them pass here too.

Gabe Jackson or Xavier Su'a-Filo if he's still on the board would make sense here so they could move Howard back to tackle where he belongs. Turner would be a good pick too. LSU usually has really solid lineman.

Depending on what they do in the second I wouldn't mind seeing Craig Loston, Brandon Coleman (dude is 6'6), Donte Moncrief is a reach here but I think he's got big upsdies, Logan Thomas.

My favorite pick here is probably o line believe it or not. LOL!

Round 4... I'm really hoping Charles Sims is still on the board. The dude is good sized and plenty fast. I think he's got 2nd round talent.

Who knows at this point. The round 2 pick is the one that has my interest right now.

I think Houston will have a hard time taking Carr purely on the name. If Carr is there for Oakland, it'll be hard for them to pass.

I think they'll probably end up with Nix but I really want them to take Carr.

It means a tempting wrong choice will be off the board and will increase their odds of getting one of the other players I like for them.

I just don't like Carr and I really don't like Carr as a second round pick. People have been all about Oakland needing a QB. They weren't THAT bad last year and they had a dude with no experience and a turn over happy WR for a QB.

I think they would have been fine with McGloin but they improved with Schaub who has been pretty good his entire career short of last year and last year was more of a team collapse than anything. So they're good at 1/2 and Trent Edwards is fine at a 3.

Carr comes in... what is he? A second round pick that sits on the bench just in case Schaub sucks? If Schaub doesn't suck then you have a second round pick that sits on the bench for 3 years and ends up playing somewhere else.

I just see it as a bad pick for everyone. I'd rather see them get a QB later in 3/4 rounds or even down in the 7th if the kid from SJ State is still around.

Carr could be a good fit for Houston. He'd compete for the starting job on equal terms as they're all pretty new there. Would suck for Fitz though.

I just don't see why Oakland would make a move on a veteran and then draft a QB this high in the draft the same year. Only guy that would have been worth it went 32nd.

I really wanted Ha Ha. Damn Green Bay had to ****** them up.

Also, Stevie Johnson was just traded to the 49ers for a conditional 4th rd pick in the 2015 draft.

Interesting. Most people had them taking a WR in the second round. But this probably puts them out of the WR game. They've now got 11 on the roster.

I'd say 5 of them are definitely keepers and with a top 4/5 of Crabtree, Boldin, Johnson, Whiley and Patton... they're probably set.

I think they're loading up and basically saying o.k. CK... no more excuses.

I wouldn't be surprised if they pulled the trigger on a TE or an RB in the second round at this point. VD is gonna be 31 this year so a TE is a stretch but with 2 picks in the second who the heck knows.

I wonder if they'll pop on a QB now.

Niners have McDonald already. Love the trade, WR addressed. Now get two more DBs and an OL today.

With a VERY RARE Exception, QB's that are Drafted past the 3rd round are essentially wasted picks.

Go ahead, look at all of the teams in the NFL currently and point to how many teams have QB's that were Drafted outside of the Top 3 Rounds that are currently their Starter (or would be a BETTER QB than the current Starter)?

Tom Brady - Round 6 - Pick 199

Tony Romo - Undrafted

Those are really the ONLY 2 people I see that are currently Starters on their respective teams.

The 36th overall pick the Oakland Raiders in the 2nd round, select Derek Carr, QB Fresno State

Solid pick, knowing Shaub is going to be running the horse. Carr gets to sit back and have a redshirt year, which I think all QBs really need unless you're Russell Wilson and can already win it from the veteran.

I'm down with Carlos Hyde at the 57th pick. That's solid.

How is Hyde a great pick?

Gore is old and obviously on his latter years, but still gonna be there.
Hunter, should be his job to lose.
LaMichael hasn't been used enough, so sad to see wasted explosiveness.
Lattimore redshirted, if he somehow doesn't look up to par maybe.

Hyde? #1 rated back, but I thought the Niners needed to address DB, move up n grab some folks. Can't rely on Aldon Smith to hang around and get busted again. Willis, Bowman (Wilhoite for now), Brooks, Skuta, Lemonier got their jobs locked.

DB is a whole different story. If the Niners are redshirting players first years, than I would have gotten some other DBs in case some of the DBs didn't work out. Bethea, Reid, Brock are in there for sure. Maybe Cooks, Culliver coming off injury, ***, Wright, Morris?

Nowadays you need 5 starting DBs and the Niners got 3 for sure, the rookie Ward. The rest is who is gonna win and jump in. Then hope they dodge a bullet with injuries back here. Reid for one needs to not get a concussion.

I like the Hyde and Martin picks. It's the Borland pick, agree with you iLogin LB wasn't need, a DB would have been nice there.
