I just finished my costume for this year... check it out.
Last year I was Rex Kwan Doe from Napolean Dynamite and the year before I was Mac Dre... I will post pics from those years tomorrow when I get to work.
No I dont go trick or treating... I work in a suit and tie mortgage bank and we all dress up for Halloween.
Total cost of materials for costume... $46
This includes:
$6.99 for a Goodwill size 52L suite jacket
$6 in Poly Foam (1" thick)
$7 in Spray Adhesive
$18 for blue crushed velvet
$1 in white foam 3mm sheet
$1 in gold felt sheets
$4 for some Hi-temp gluesticks
$2 for gold tassel trim for shoulders
Free: Wire coat hanger for the internal support for the hat.

I dressed up as a bike racer guy with makeup on and did the Surf City CycloCross race on a tandem. I am on the front. My favorite costume out there for the race was someone who dressed up as a salmon and did the race backwards.
