2011 De Anza AutoX this Sunday
Anyone going to the autoX this year? Its this Sunday pretty much all day at the main parking lot in De Anza College.
The wife and I are signed up again, she got first in her class last year and is still dieing to beat my time. Bringing the STI for the first time so should be interesting, hope to some of you out there'

I'll check it out... I live 2 blocks away...
i used to go 10+ years ago and it was pretty exciting to watch back then.
Is the course pretty tight?
i recall the really short wheelbase cars doing wayyyy better than others.
i think it was civic hatches and miatas that were dominating.
i recall this guy in a datsun 510 that was smashing on everyone, driving with one hand outside the window even... had "bongwater racing" across his windshield... beat pretty much everyone, and was DQ'd or having his hand outside the window... lol

AutoX is short for Auto Cross, a type of racing done in parking lots in a closed cone course. Sharp turns, not too much speed usually, very fun and great way to learn the limits of your car.
The De Anza AutoX is usually great to get people into the style of racing, this particular race isnt for points but mainly bragging rights.
NorCalPaintball: Its still pretty tight, they change up the course every year and last few have had a few good spots for some speed but nothing like other venues. My old co-worker has actually had the fastest time the last few years, he has a white Datsun 2000 with a Mazda 13b rotory, fast as ****!
Cant wait, if you see a white 06 STi feel free to come up and say hello'
