Well today would be the day that everyone would fall for Daniel's "I'm going to have to cancel Mt. Hammy due to blah blah blah"
So no Hammy for '08?
So no Hammy for '08?

Daniel isn't doing hammy this year... or so he said recently. He's said that every year for the last 2 or 3 so who knows.
Here's how I see it.
Either a few core folks could grab the reins and do with it what should have been done with it and BLOW it up.
OR
a couple people could do what was done in the beginning. Pick a date. Reserve the spot. Everyone pays their own entry and brings/picks up their own crap. No reaming vendors (we charge as little as $25 at our car shows). If vendors want to come set up they come set and bring a bbq and kick back.
Don't see why it has to be organized by anyone. Everyone just bring your own ****. Have a big bbq. That's all it's really been anyways.

You guys can start a planning thread, but keep it cool. I think if you guys want it you guys can definitely plan it. No one can stop you guys from doing so. But remember that it's supposed to be a meet for BAIC members, so keep it local I'd hope.
Maybe make a thread where submissions are given with discussion up until a certain date, then make a thread with a poll so people can pick what they'd like to do.
No matter what, just look forward without harshly looking back is all that the mods are really asking.
RE: vendors : Unfortunately if you want to book an event to house 300 cars and 500 people you will need to pay for a location to do so. Members won't shell out the cost of location AND food. It's simply too much. Having vendors help out with funds for the location and for other things works out since they get some extra exposure and fun.

I say Mt.Hammy goes back to its roots for at least this year. A BBQ. Everyone bring your own stuff. Pay your own park entrance, etc. If someone wants to pony up and reserve the park and set up vendors I'm sure that wouldn't be hard to do.
