The new SI-Drive system allows the driver to maximize engine performance, control and efficiency by choosing from among three selectable modes - "Intelligent", "Sport" and "Sport Sharp" - using a rotary dial on the center console.
The SI-Drive controls the electronic throttle system's response and fuel and ignition curves to modify engine torque characteristics, changing the performance character of the car in each mode.

Power numbers will be dropping slightly across the board with most Japanese cars due to the new SAE HP rating system that manufacturers have to use. Same power, just different and more standardized math to explain it.
Oh and yeah, the 07 spec b is hot. I think its a definite improvement over what I didn't like about the 06 (red leather, still a 5spd, exterior paint) and kept the good stuff like the Bilstein suspension and aluminum control arms.
The SI Drive will actually be available in all Legacy based turbos (meaning, Legacy GT, spec b and Outback XT) in 07, and should trickle down to the Impreza based turbos in '08.
What I want to know is, how soon Cobb will allow me to load up three AP maps and be able to use the SI Drive dial to change maps on the fly.

I hope that SI-drive system allows us to save a little bit on gas when we're not in a racing / aggressive mood or when we're stuck in traffic.
+1 for 6 spd
+1 for non-red seats

As far as I've seen, the only info is that it is a 'modified version' of the STI 6spd.
I think the spec b will not have DCCD, but I don't know what else they mean by 'modified version'
